Director Elcio Brito receives award from Laurea João Florentino Meira de Vasconcellos for Pharmaceutical Innovation
The world is experiencing a unique situation. Witness the beginning of a new era with the foresight that socio-economic transformations will be brutal. The fourth industrial revolution we are beginning to experience is the product of the exponential and simultaneous developments of various technologies in the physical world – of things, the digital and biological world. Probably in this new, emerging socio-economic arrangement, one of the sectors that will be most affected is the pharmaceutical sector. At SPI, we are very happy with the award of Laureate João Florentino Meira de Vasconcellos for Pharmaceutical Innovation to our director Dr. Elcio Brito, granted by the Brazilian Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, on July 24, at the Sindusfarma Auditorium in São Paulo. Elcio is the team leader responsible for research, consulting and deployment of applications and key technologies such as drug traceability, electronic batch record, digital simulation, reality-driven, machine learning, internet of things and robotics for the pharmaceutical sector.
